Our story is simple. A new neighbor moved in next door to us who is a Licensed Electrician. One day, he replaced his old microwave with a new one and asked me if I've ever seen how these transformers can be used to burn patterns into wood. Of course I had never heard of such a thing, and after some re-wiring and a couple other safety features that would prevent us from being killed by this machine, I was amazed by what I saw happening to the different types of wood we experimented with. It was very soon after that we began to improve the safety of the machine and started to perfect the process of creating this beautiful artwork. Please Do NOT Attempt this at home.

All Bauer Boards are made using premium quality half inch thick Birch plywood and come in 5 standard sizes along with 5 colors to choose from. Our sizes are measured in Inches and come as a Full Panel = 24 x 24, Half Panel = 24 x 12, Quarter Panel = 24 x 6, Eight Panel = 12 x 6 and also a Quarter Panel Square = 12 x 12. The colors to choose from are, Provincial, Navy, Phantom Gray, Sedona Red and Natural, which is No Stain. I also finish with 2 coats of a Semi-Gloss Polyurethane for protection.
